Day 1: Luxor East Bank — Karnak & Luxor Temple

Welcome to Luxor — the ancient heart of Upper Egypt.

Upon arrival in Luxor, your WOW TOURS EGYPT Egyptologist guide will meet you and escort you to your private, air-conditioned vehicle.

Your first introduction to Luxor begins on the East Bank, where the monuments of ancient Thebes rise beside the Nile.

Explore the Karnak Temple Complex, an immense sacred landscape expanded by generations of pharaohs. Walk through its monumental courts and the famous Great Hypostyle Hall, where towering columns create one of the most impressive spaces surviving from ancient Egypt.

Continue to Luxor Temple, beautifully positioned beside the Nile and once connected to Karnak by the Avenue of Sphinxes. Its grand courts, colossal statues and obelisks offer a striking introduction to the religious world of ancient Thebes.

Have lunch at a carefully selected restaurant before transfer to your Luxor hotel for check-in and time to relax.

Day 2: Luxor West Bank & Journey to Aswan

After breakfast, your WOW TOURS EGYPT Egyptologist guide meets you at your hotel and you cross to the West Bank of Luxor, where the royal landscape of ancient Thebes unfolds.

Begin at the Valley of the Kings, the burial ground of Egypt’s New Kingdom pharaohs. Descend into selected royal tombs and discover the vivid scenes and inscriptions created to guide the kings into the afterlife. Continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut, dramatically rising against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Built for one of ancient Egypt’s most remarkable female rulers, its terraces create one of Luxor’s most memorable archaeological settings. Then pause at the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous stone figures that have stood facing the Nile plain for more than 3,000 years.

Enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant.

After lunch, begin your journey south toward Aswan, following the Nile through Upper Egypt. Arrive in Aswan and check in to your hotel.

Day 3: Abu Simbel — The Great Temples of Ramesses II

An early start takes you toward Abu Simbel, where one of ancient Egypt’s greatest architectural statements awaits.

As the temples appear against the desert landscape, the scale becomes unmistakable: four colossal statues of Ramesses II stand before the Great Temple, carved directly into the mountain more than 3,000 years ago.

Enter the Great Temple of Abu Simbel, dedicated to Ramesses II and the great gods of Egypt, and explore its monumental halls and beautifully carved scenes celebrating the king. Then discover the Temple of Queen Nefertari, dedicated to the goddess Hathor and to Ramesses II’s great royal wife. Its unusual scale and beautifully preserved reliefs make it one of the most distinctive monuments of the Nubian temples.

Abu Simbel is the monumental climax of the journey — a place that makes the scale and ambition of ancient Egypt impossible to ignore.

After your visit, return to Aswan.

Spend the later part of the day at leisure, giving you time to relax at your hotel or enjoy the atmosphere of Aswan beside the Nile.

Day 4: High Dam, Philae Temple & Nubian Village

After breakfast, your WOW TOURS EGYPT guide meets you for your final day in Aswan.

Begin at the Aswan High Dam, one of modern Egypt’s most significant engineering projects and a structure that transformed life along the Nile.

Continue to Philae Temple, beautifully set on an island in the Nile. Dedicated to the goddess Isis, the temple survived the rising waters created by the dam through an extraordinary international rescue project.

Then leave the monumental sites behind and experience another side of southern Egypt at a Nubian Village. Travel along the Nile by boat, meet the colorful Nubian community, and experience a living culture whose traditions have endured along the river for generations.

It is a fitting final chapter: after four days among the monuments of ancient Egypt, you meet the people and culture of the Nile today.

After the Nubian experience, transfer to your departure point in Aswan.
