Day 1: Luxor to Kharga Oasis – Dakhla Oasis

Your WOW tours Egypt guide will be waiting for you at the airport or Hotel. He will be holding a sign showing your name.

You will be transferred by a modern air-conditioned vehicle to Kharga Oasis, about 05 hours from Luxor.

 your adventure begins in Kharga Oasis, once the gateway between Egypt and Africa via the legendary Darb el-Arba’īn trade route. Here, you’ll explore Temple of Hibis, the only fully preserved Persian-era temple in Egypt, set dramatically against a backdrop of sand dunes and date palms. You’ll wander the mysterious ruins of Bagawat Cemetery, one of the earliest Christian cemeteries in the world, with well-preserved chapels and colorful biblical frescoes painted inside ancient mud-brick tombs.

 have Lunch at a local restaurant. Then continue driving to Dakhla Oasis.

Day 2: Dakhla Oasis

After breakfast, the desert opens up before us as we journey on to the magical Dakhla Oasis—a green jewel in a golden sea. Here, time seems to stand still. You’ll visit the hauntingly beautiful Al-Qasr Islamic Village, where centuries-old homes, mosques, and olive presses still echo with the life of a medieval desert town. Walk its narrow alleyways and admire the Quranic inscriptions carved into wooden lintels and mudbrick walls.

Just beyond lies Deir El-Hagar, the “Monastery of the Stone,” a well-preserved Roman sandstone temple dedicated to Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. You’ll see vivid carvings that have defied centuries of desert wind. Nearby are Two extraordinary burial tombs known as ” Muzawaqa”. the name means very colorful and beautiful, so you can imagine what are you about to see. Then visit Balat Tombs, remnants of an ancient necropolis dating back to the Old Kingdom, and Ain Asil, a pharaonic administrative center from the 6th Dynasty.

As the sun begins to set behind the western dunes, we’ll relax in the tranquil village of Mut, the main town of Dakhla, and enjoy warm local hospitality, traditional meals, and peaceful nights under star-filled desert skies.

Day 3: Dakhla Oasis - Kharga Oasis to Luxor

After breakfast, start your tour to visit the antique city of Islamic Balat, another integrated city dates back to the Othman time but here more details because people were just still living here. 

Then continue driving to Kharga Oasis, we’ll visit  Nadura Temple, perched on a hill overlooking the oasis, offering sweeping desert views and a powerful connection to the Roman era.  Qasr el-Zayan Temple, dedicated to the god Amun, provides another glimpse into the region’s importance during the Greco-Roman period. And along the way, we’ll see traces of Roman fortresses, natural springs, and thriving palm groves that still sustain local life.
