You will be transferred by a modern air-conditioned vehicle to start your Day tour in Alexandria.

First visit The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, is a fascinating blend of Greek, Roman and Egyptian architecture, these underground tombs cut in the cliffs – offer a mysterious glimpse into ancient burial practices.

Then visit Pompey’s Pillar, A towering Roman triumphal column, one of the city’s most striking ancient landmarks. Pompey’s Pillar was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century.

Then visit The church of St. MarkThe main Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria, an Oriental Orthodox church, known as Saint Mark Church. Based in Egypt, Northeast Africa and the Middle East, The head of the Church is the Patriarch of Alexandria on the Holy See of Saint Mark, who also carries the title of Coptic Pope. According to its tradition, the Coptic Church was established by Saint Mark, an apostle and evangelist, in the middle of the 1st century (approximately AD 42).

Through your drive you will see The old down town and the local historical architecture which has baroque style designs and Italian and French style properties. After that move on to visit The Roman Amphitheater, is a hidden gem from the Roman era, It’s the only known Roman amphitheater in Egypt, featuring thirteen tiers of marble seating that once hosted performances, lectures, and gatherings. Today, it stands as a testament to the city’s rich Roman heritage.

Next stop is The Bibliotheca AlexandrinaThe library of Alexandria – is a modern architectural marvel that stands as a tribute to the ancient Library of Alexandria, once the greatest library of the ancient world. Opened in 2002, this stunning building has a massive, sloping disc shape that symbolizes the rising sun of knowledge. Inside, it holds millions of books, rare manuscripts, and cultural artifacts, making it not just a library, but a vibrant cultural hub. Have a delicious lunch at a traditional Restaurant.

After Lunch visit The main square of mosques in the city: you can visit The Abbo El abbas Mosque. Next to the Mosque you can see old carnivals where children play on very antique funfair rides and eat candy floss.

Time now to visit The Citadel of Qaitbay: a medieval fortress standing proudly at the entrance of the harbor, built on the ruins of the legendary Lighthouse of Alexandria.
