Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, your WOW TOURS EGYPT representative will meet and assist you through the arrival procedures, then escort you to your Cairo hotel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle.

At the hotel, your tour manager will assist with a smooth check-in and review your itinerary with you, confirming the pickup times for each day of your tour.

Overnight Cairo

After breakfast, your WOW TOURS EGYPT Egyptologist guide meets you at your hotel and you head to Saqqara, where the story of Egypt’s great pyramids begins.

Explore the Saqqara Complex, the vast necropolis of ancient Memphis and one of Egypt’s most important archaeological landscapes. At its heart stands the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world’s earliest large-scale stone pyramid and a groundbreaking achievement in ancient architecture.

Continue to the Pyramid of Teti, one of the early rulers of Egypt’s 6th Dynasty, and explore the ancient tombs of Saqqara, where beautifully decorated scenes offer glimpses into daily life, beliefs and the world of the people who lived thousands of years ago.

Then travel to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. See the remarkable Alabaster Sphinx, one of the city’s finest surviving monuments, along with the colossal limestone statue of Ramses II, and imagine the capital that once ruled the Nile Valley.

Enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant.

In the afternoon, arrive at the Giza Plateau for the grand finale. Stand before the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, where the evolution you have followed at Saqqara reaches its most monumental expression.

Continue to the Valley Temple of King Khafre, then come face to face with the Great Sphinx, the iconic guardian that has watched over Giza for thousands of years.

After your visit, return to your Cairo hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.

After breakfast, your WOW TOURS EGYPT Egyptologist guide meets you at your hotel. Begin at the Grand Egyptian Museum, where monumental statues and treasures from thousands of years of Egyptian civilization reveal the world behind the pyramids.

Meet the treasures of Tutankhamun, including his famous golden mask and royal belongings, and discover the Khufu Solar Boat, connecting the museum experience directly with the pyramid you saw the day before.

Enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant.

Your afternoon takes you into Old Cairo, where several centuries of religious history sit within a remarkably compact area.

Visit the Hanging Church, one of Cairo’s most important Coptic landmarks, built above the remains of the Roman fortress of Babylon. Continue to the Church of St. Sergius & Bacchus, traditionally associated with the Holy Family’s stay in Egypt.

Visit Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of Cairo’s most historic Jewish landmarks, followed by St. George’s Church, with its distinctive circular form rising above the old fortress area.

Then discover the Amr Ibn Al-As Mosque, traditionally regarded as the first mosque established in Egypt and an important landmark in the story of Islamic Cairo.

End your day wandering through Khan el-Khalili, Cairo’s historic bazaar. Browse its narrow lanes, traditional shops, crafts and the sounds of everyday Cairo replace the silence of the ancient monuments.
