Day 1: Cairo to Siwa Oasis - Fatnas Island Sunset & Siwa Souk.

Your WOW TOURS EGYPT representative meets you at your Cairo hotel, ready for the journey west by private air-conditioned vehicle to Siwa Oasis, one of Egypt’s most distinctive and remote destinations.

As you approach Siwa, the desert gives way to date palms, olive groves, natural springs, and traditional villages—your first glimpse of life in this extraordinary oasis.

Upon arrival, check into your hotel, enjoy lunch, and take some time to freshen up.

Later, head to Fatnas Island, where palms frame beautiful views across the oasis. Settle beside the water with a glass of traditional mint tea and watch the sunset transform the surrounding landscape.

In the evening, explore Siwa Souk in the heart of town, with local dates, olive products, spices, traditional handicrafts, and products made by Siwan families.

Day 2: Ancient Siwa, Salt Lakes & Great Sand Sea Adventure

After breakfast, your WOW TOURS EGYPT Egyptologist guide takes you to Shali Fortress, the historic heart of Siwa. Built from traditional kershef, its winding passages and weathered ruins overlook the oasis and surrounding palm groves.

Continue to the Temple of the Oracle, where Alexander the Great famously came to consult the oracle. His visit became one of the most enduring stories connected with Siwa, with Egyptian tradition associating him with Amun as his divine father.

Next, discover the extraordinary Siwa Salt Lakes, where turquoise water and brilliant white salt formations create one of the oasis’s most striking landscapes. Their high salt concentration also makes floating remarkably easy.

Enjoy lunch before changing the pace completely. In the afternoon, board your private 4×4 and venture into the immense dunes of the Great Sand Sea.

Cross sweeping golden dunes, experience the silence and scale of the open desert, and try sandboarding down the soft slopes.

Day 3: Mountain of the Dead & Cleopatra’s Spring.

After breakfast, your WOW TOURS EGYPT guide takes you to the Mountain of the Dead (Gabal El-Mawta), an ancient necropolis containing rock-cut tombs dating mainly from the Late, Ptolemaic, and Roman periods.

Continue to Cleopatra’s Spring, one of Siwa’s best-known natural springs, surrounded by palms and local cafés—a relaxing place to enjoy the oasis atmosphere before leaving Siwa.

Enjoy lunch before settling into your private air-conditioned vehicle for the journey back to Cairo.
